East Asia Super League’s (EASL) founding mission is to create Asia’s premier basketball league, while elevating the sport in the region.

Summary:

The premier professional club-to-club basketball competition platform in East Asia, East Asia Super League is now seeking a Japan PR Manager to build and manage EASL’s PR, brand and B- league coordination.  Primarily by overseeing League, PR and Media Relations. EASL Core target markets are Japan, Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines; with secondary targets including rest of Asia-Pacific, and other global audiences.

Responsibilities include:

・Primary responsible for EASL’s PR & league strategy and assisting in marketing campaigns across all facets of the sports marketing landscape.  This position will be coordinating with media, Basketball Operations various stakeholders and more leading up to and during EASL season. This position will be responsible for coordinating with market heads and the social media team to maximize coverage.; managing internal teams and third parties as needed to execute at optimal effectiveness.
・Collaboration with local stakeholders on planning and execution, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of the key messages and strategic plan for the region.
・Ownership of all marketing and PR campaigns to drive EASL awareness and fan following.
・Collaboration with local stakeholders on planning and execution, ensuring they have a comprehensive understanding of the key messages and strategic plan for the region.
・Management of marketing and PR budgets to ensure cost effectiveness.
・Oversight of third-party vendors, for example, for content, production or media buys.
・Ownership of all published material and accountability for final copy. 
・Reporting on marketing activities to key stakeholders, media or business partners.
・Management of key press and other media relationships. 
・Benchmarking of market performance, such as media exposure, awareness, and following.
・Management of key press and other media relationships. 
・Managing the relationship with key stakeholders from the Japan B.LEAGUE including but not limited to PR, marketing and operations. This will include coordinating directly with EASL cross-functional team members
・Working with the participating B.LEAGUE teams on preparations for upcoming season in terms of marketing and operations. 
・Managing communications with other key Japan stakeholders and partners.
