【THE JOB】
The Account Director (AD) is responsible for the overall leadership of several key accounts in Japan market. The AD will have a high level of interaction with clients and is expected to be the key interface to drive and ensure client servicing success and excellence. Specifically, there is an exciting growth opportunity with one key global account due to more sports sponsorship activity in Japan. An AD is required to ensure delivery is world-class and is seen as the agency of choice by the client, driving a steady growth of the account revenue. The ADs will be also expected to take an active role in new business development from other accounts as well as generating new account leads. Responsibility also extends to assuming a leadership role in internal initiatives.
The right candidate will be experienced in delivering and driving brand marketing services work that can be applied to sports and entertainment sphere with experience working for or with agencies. The AD must be a strong leader, able to establish credibility and authority with clients and within us. You will need to not only lead a team locally, but also leverage and collaborate with various internal teams and functions located across APAC and rest of the world.
The role will report to the MDs who are managing Asia business.

【THE WORK YOU’LL DO】
■Client Account Management
・Serve as the senior client partner to several key accounts in Japan
・Demonstrate relevant expertise, gravitas and charisma to cultivate and manage account relationships to be seen and respected as a trusted leader and point-person by the client.
・Develop a deep understanding of local market teams’ needs & objectives
・Establish process and implement best practices within Account Management group and other teams as needed
■Growing Accounts & New Business
・Generate forward-thinking, creative ideas to improve sponsorship-led programs and develop differentiated use of existing partnerships
・Lead the creation and negotiation with clients for new Scopes of Work, including ・resource plans and fee proposals that ensures financial health and growth of the accounts.
・Actively identify, create and pursue new business opportunities across new or existing client’s portfolio via prospecting and contributing to the development of proposals
■Project Management Excellence
・Drive world-class project management and team leadership to ensure successful planning and execution for a new running sponsorship by the Key Account. Work streams include activation, campaign, experiential, hospitality and more.
・Lead day-to-day client interface to ensure sound comprehension of current project needs including adherence to rights-holder processes, business objectives, budgetary parameters, delivery timelines effectively managing client expectations.
・Oversee the day-to-day operations of the account team which includes leading client status meetings, managing programming tracking documents, developing informative & thoughtful POVs, crafting insightful wrap-up reports that will advise sensible improvements.
・Manage multiple projects on a daily basis, with a proactive approach

必須条件 |
・6 - 10 year’s experience working in account management/new business development, project management or client service with a brand, agency and/or team or sports or entertainment property
・Excellent Japanese and English linguistic skills
・Willingness and flexibility to travel and work weekend/holidays as needed

・Sponsorship activation or content production experience is a plus
・Capability to initiate and foster relationships through new business meetings, building a strong network for new business development.
・Strong client management skills and possesses the confidence to provide them with strategic guidance and direction
・Extensive experience of owning and growing positive and effective relationships with senior client stakeholders in Japan, resulting in account growth and evolution; ability to cultivate strong relationships with staff, other internal stakeholders, vendors and partners
・Experience leading a diverse team whilst getting hands-on when required demonstrating initiative, and solve problems effectively and independently
・Capability and comfort in overseeing budgets and driving contract negotiation.
