スペインサッカーリーグ「LaLiga」のキーパーソンが、グローバルビジネスの根幹を成すパートナーシップ及びアクティベーションについて解説。
Diego is currently looking for international partnerships at LaLiga’s Global HQ after having developed business the company in Eastern Europe, selected in a process of more than 12500 people. International, commercial, team, negotiation, strategy and results have been key words in his professional development, working in commercial departments of big multinationals as FLIR Systems or Indra Sistemas.
He is teacher and tutor at LaLiga’s Master in Sports Marketing, as well as mentor at Carlos III University and former Member of Corvinus University Advisory Board. For 8 years, Diego was Vice-President of Atlético de Madrid Volunteers Association.
During his professional career, his development and performance made possible that he received Excellence in Sport Business Award by Corvinus University, Professional Excellence Award by Carlos III University, as well as being part of the High potential program at Indra Sistemas. He achieved the Best Academic Record at school. He claims to be passionate about what he does, loves travelling, sport, music and people.

Suresh Letchmanan, 46 year old born on the 20 January 1973 in Singapore, has been working as the head of Asia Pacific for Borussia Dortmund with special responsibilities for the business sectors Sales, Marketing and Business Development since October 2014. Previous to this task he headed the legal and business affairs of Dentsu Sports Asia as the company’s Vice President.

Suresh graduated with honours in Law and Sports at Buckingham, England and continued to pursue his Masters of Laws degree in International Sports Law at Anglia Ruskin University, England. He had achieved his football coaching qualification certificate with the Football Association of England in 2004 and held a honorary position in the S.League with Etoile Football Club (first ever European team to play in an Asia Football League) as Director of Football and Team Manager in 2009.
The father of one child takes on his role at this very special club with all his heart and with passion: “I’m proud to have been entrusted with the task of winning more and more people for BVB and I will never forget the roots of this very special club.”

Russell was running as soon as he could walk and has been fixated on a football ever since. With a degree in Communications from the University at Buffalo in tow, he developed his marketing and digital expertise through a regional role at a digital agency, and helped brands like Cebu Pacific Air, Honda, Disney, Columbia Pictures, J.CO Donuts.
Seizing the opportunity of the 2014 World Cup, he creatively helped Cebu Pacific to announce direct flights to Japan through a campaign that generated digital fan support for the “Blue Samurais”. At OPPO, he established a relatively unknown brand to become 3rd in Singapore as the Head of Marketing and was part of the team working on the Global Partnership with FC Barcelona, launching multiple Limited-Edition FC Barcelona branded phones. As a key driver of OPPO being the local broadcast sponsor of the EPL and having worked on football projects like Masters Football, he brings to LaLiga multiple perspectives.
After helping to bring out the best of football partnerships in OPPO, he made the move to the best league in the world- LaLiga- where he is the resident Marketing and eSports expert in the Regional Office. Russell is adept in deeply understand brands in order to weave compelling narratives and ideas to bring to life potential partnerships and activations.

Bion West is Senior Manager of Esports and Gaming at Major League Soccer. His primary responsibility is to lead the evolution of eMLS, Major League Soccer’s competitive gaming league built around the EA SPORTS FIFA video game franchise. More specifically, Bion’s role within eMLS includes leading league strategy, programming/operations, Club/player management, sponsor management and business development.
FIFA is an increasingly popular and dynamic soccer touchpoint for soccer in North America. It drives new fans to MLS and is a major part of the total soccer experience for many existing MLS fans. The mission of eMLS is to blur the lines between physical and digital soccer and to make MLS the best sports league for gamers. In 2020, 25 MLS teams participated in eMLS by signing professional FIFA players to compete in the eMLS season.
Bion received his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. During his time at MIT, he was part of the leadership team for the 2016 and 2017 Sloan Sports Analytics Conferences in which he organized esports panels and programming. Prior to his role at MLS, he was a strategy consultant with Strategy&, PwC’s strategy consulting firm, where he focused on the Retail and Consumer Product sectors. Bion was also an IT consultant with Exeter Group where he assisted companies in the non-profit sector implement digital transformation initiatives.
Bion currently resides in New York City. He is originally from Massachusetts with a BS from Boston College and loves all Boston sports teams.
